Training, speaking, and consulting for professionals

I work with organizations and care providers to deepen understanding of maternal health, early childhood development, and equitable care.

Supporting families well requires more than good intentions. It requires an understanding of how systems, identity, and lived experience shape care.

My work is also informed by research in Black maternal health and contributions to initiatives like the Black Birth Project, which focuses on improving access, awareness, and outcomes for Black families.

I work with professionals and organizations to deepen that understanding and translate it into practical, meaningful support.

Testimonial

“Working with Cheyenne during our Black Maternal Health Week event was an absolute pleasure. As the moderator of our panel discussion, she brought a powerful combination of expertise, professionalism, and presence to the conversation. Her deep knowledge as a Black maternal health advocate and doula shone through in the way she guided dialogue thoughtfully, confidently, and with genuine care.

Cheyenne has a natural ability to create space for meaningful, engaging discussions, and her professionalism made collaboration seamless from start to finish. She was an integral part of the event’s success, and I would welcome any opportunity to work with her again.”

Child Development Training for Doulas - COMING SOON

I’m currently developing a training program for doulas who want to deepen their understanding of child development beyond the newborn stage.

This weekly online training is designed to help you better support families as they move through early childhood, with a focus on what comes next after the early postpartum period.

You’ll learn:

  • The foundations of child development from infancy through early childhood

  • How to support parents as they navigate developmental milestones and transitions

  • How to recognize when additional support may be needed

  • How to confidently refer families to trusted community resources when needs extend beyond your scope

This training is especially valuable for doulas who want to expand their impact, strengthen their client support, and feel more confident supporting families beyond the newborn stage.
